Michael Pearl Wilfong, 76, of Clarksburg, passed away at United Hospital Center on September 24, 2022. He was born in Fairmont on January 11, 1946 to the late Henry Lee Wilfong and Dorotha (McGraw) Wilfong.
Michael worked as a truck driver for many years and served in the US Army. He was a member of the American Legion and Moose Club. He loved to cook, go camping, work on old cars, listen to music and travelling to different states.
He is survived by two daughters: Tina Jallow of KY and Sherry Swiney and husband Gary of KY; one son, Michael Wilfong, Jr. of MO; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; two sisters: Waneta Wheeler of Caldwell, OH and Robin Fear of OH; three brothers: Leroy Wilfong of Charlotte, NC, Richard Wilfong and wife Luann of OH and Roland “Dale” Wilfong and wife Marie of Enterprise; his ex-wife, Geraldine Martin and several nieces and nephews. His nieces and nephews were very special to him and had a special place in his heart and life.
In addition to his parents, his is preceded in death by one son, William Wilfong; one brother, Henry Bud Wilfong and four grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 11:30am with Pastor Gary Carr officiating. Interment at WV National Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the US Army and Harrison County Honor Guard.
