Jeffery Clay Melott

Jeffery Clay Melott, 61, of Wallace, WV, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at United Hospital Center.  He was born August 23, 1960, son of the late Terrel Melott and Phyllis Jean (Gump) Melott Blake.

Jeffery was the owner of Trees Trees Trees for 18 years and worked for Sutter Roofing.

He is survived by his wife / life partner, Brenda (Jones) Melott; three daughters:  Clarissa Bailey and husband, Daniel of Sardis, Heather Melott and husband David Rymer of Salem and Tenisha Melott and companion, John Maloney of Clarksburg; one son, James Melott and wife, Delyse of Clarksburg; one brother, Steve Melott; five granddaughters:  Charity Bailey, Hannah Rymer, Madison Rymer, Caydense Maloney and Chloe Maloney; four grandsons:  Cameron Melott, Braden Murphy, David M. Rymer II, and Emeric Melott; stepmother, Shirley Melott of Wileyville, four step sisters:  Vanessa Bard of Wileyville, Becky Greathouse, Sena Greathouse and Janie Davis of New Martinsville and two nieces:  Maggie May Melott and Tara Melott of Waldorf, MD.

In addition to his parents, Jeffery was preceded in death by his stepfather, Vaughn Blake.

Family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, WV, on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm.  Service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11:00am with Pastor Charles Glover officiating.

Per Jeffery’s request, cremation service will follow.
