Freda Bell (Craig) Kurbaba

Freda Bell (Craig) Kurbaba, 68, of Clarksburg, passed away at UHC in Bridgeport on December 17, 2019 with her family by her side.  She was born in Clarksburg on September 3, 1951, the daughter of the late Bob Lee and Jane Marie (Swiger) Craig.

Freda was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and Freddie and Sue Craig.  Freda was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister and she will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents Freda was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior Ray Craig and Freddie Craig; and two sisters, Wanda Donachi and Norma Custer.

Those left behind to cherish Freda’s memory include her three sons, Michael Robert Kurbaba, Jr. and Michael Kurbaba Andrews, both of Clarksburg and David Allen Kurbaba of Michigan; two daughters, Freda Marie Briggs of Clarksburg and Diane Renee Kurbaba of Pawtucket, RI; three grandsons, David Matthew Briggs, Wayne Allen Briggs and Alen Matthew Briggs, all of Clarksburg; one great-grandson, Ryker Briggs; three great-granddaughters, Noella, Hailey and Zoe Briggs; one brother, Eddie Craig of Maryland; and four sisters, Geneva Haught and Margie Burch, both of Fairmont,  Clarice Standard of Mannington and Helen Lemley of Paw Paw Creek.

The family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home 701 South Pike St., Shinnston, WV 26431, on Thursday, December 19, 2019, from 3:00PM until the time of service at 7:00PM with Pastor Lee Haught officiating.  Per Freda’s request cremation services will be provided.  In lieu of flowers consider making a donation by clicking on the "donation" tab above to help the family with the funeral expenses.
