Anissa Dawn (Rice) Peoples, 50 of Riverview, Florida, formerly of Enterprise, passed away suddenly in Tampa, FL on December 28, 2019. She was born in Fairmont on June 15, 1969, the daughter of William and Donna (Collins) Rice.
Anissa was a 1987 graduate of Lincoln High School, she went on to study at Fairmont State and then to West Virginia University where she received a Master’s Degree in Psychology. She was a civilian contractor with the military serving at military sites from Camp Lejeune, NC to Wiesbaden, Germany and most recently aboard the USS Harry S. Truman.
Those who are left behind to cherish Anissa’s memory and who loved her and will miss her always are her parents and brother, Jason, his wife, Christina and their children, Jacob, Alania, Aidan, and Connor of Enterprise, her ex-husband, Timothy Peoples of Raleigh, NC, her aunt, Jean Collins of Parkersburg, several cousins and her special “sisters”, Lynn, Susan, Jodi, Kelly, Tina, Sara and Rhonda. Anissa was a beautiful and energetic soul who enjoyed yoga, living at the beach, especially at her favorite place Emerald Isle, NC.
Per Anissa’s request, cremation services were provided. Her friends and family are planning a Celebration of Life Service to be held on Emerald Isle at a later date.
