Founded in 1972, Dorsey Funeral Home, Shinnston, WV is locally owned and operated and has been for over 20 years serving the families of Shinnston and surrounding areas under the same name.  Dorsey Funeral Home moved in 1982 to the current location at 701 South Pike Street. We have a standard of excellence in funeral and cremation service and our professional and caring staff takes pride in providing a personalized and affordable funeral service that meets the needs of your family. Dorsey Funeral Home offers a large visitation room, family lounge and has bought property across the road to expand parking.  With being locally owned and operated, we are making improvements and offering services to set us apart.  We are the only funeral home in Shinnston that owns and operates our own crematory here in Harrison County.  It is important that your loved one never leaves our care.  Additional services includes personalization to the caskets, urns, register books, memorial videos, portraits, candles, throws and many options being added.  We strive to set our self apart and offer things other funeral homes don’t.  With all these personalization options, we feel we have put the value back into the funeral industry in Shinnston and for the families of the surrounding areas.
