Adrian Alonso Obituary

Adrian Raymond Alonso, 81, of Clarksburg, passed away at United Hospital Center surrounded by family on Monday, March 4, 2024. He was born in Clarksburg on October 6, 1942 to the late Raymond and Catherine Marie (Veltri) Alonso.

He was a 1960 graduate of Notre Dame and also went to beautician school. He drove bus for Centra and after retiring he drove bus for Harrison County Senior Citizens Center. He was a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles 2353 in Clarksburg since 1982, a vivid fan of Kyle Busch, WVU football and basketball and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved gardening and cooking.

Adrian is survived by one son, David Alonso of Clarksburg; one granddaughter, Justina; four great grandchildren: Eli, Nathan, Savannah and Faith; two brothers: Thom Alonso and wife Cherie of Shinnston and Ronald Alonso.

In addition to his parents, Adrian was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean (Feathers) Alonso, on March 1, 2024, whom he was married to for 14 years.

Honoring Adrian’s wishes, he will be cremated.
